Consent, records, and separation
How consent is captured across our brands, what we keep, and what one consent does not authorise.
Last updated October 18, 2026
Consent belongs to the brand that collected it
Each LMK Media brand captures its own consent, in its own name, on its own site. A consumer who opts in to a text message program from one brand has opted in to that brand and nothing else.
Opt-in records are held separately for each brand. They are not pooled, not combined into a shared marketing list, and not passed between brands. An opt-in given to one brand is never used to message a consumer on behalf of another.
Two different consents, never merged
This distinction matters more than any other on this page, so we state it directly.
A messaging opt-in authorises one brand to send that consumer account and service notifications by text. It is not sold, not shared with another brand, and not passed to any third party.
An authorisation to be contacted about an inquiry is a separate, narrower thing a consumer gives when they submit a request through a brand that connects them with participating companies. It is captured separately, worded separately, and shown separately.
Neither one implies the other. Declining either does not affect the other, and neither is a condition of using any of our tools.
What happens to information a consumer submits through a particular brand is governed by that brand's own privacy policy, which is linked in that brand's footer. Those policies are the operative documents. This page describes how we structure consent across the company; it does not replace them.
What we record
When a consumer opts in to a messaging program, we store the consent exactly as it was shown to them, not a summary of it. Each record keeps:
- the verbatim consent text displayed at the moment of opt-in
- the date and time the consent was given
- the page it was given on
- the phone number provided and the technical details of the submission
Storing the exact wording matters because consent language changes over time. A record that says only "user agreed" cannot tell you what they agreed to.
Message programs
Where a brand operates a text message program, that program is registered under that brand's own identity, with its own consent language, its own message content, and its own frequency disclosure. Programs are not shared across brands and are not operated under a single pooled identity.
Every program discloses its message frequency, states that message and data rates may apply, states that consent is not a condition of any purchase or service, and supports the standard keywords.
Opting out
Reply STOP to any message to end that program immediately. Reply HELP for assistance. Opt-out is honoured on receipt and requires no explanation.
A consumer can also opt out, ask what we hold, or ask us to delete it by writing to contact@lmkmedia.org or by post to the address on our contact page. Where a brand provides its own opt-out page, that page works too, and either route is sufficient.
Licensing
LMK Media holds a mortgage license, NMLS ID 2868901, verifiable on NMLS Consumer Access, the free public database operated by the Nationwide Multistate Licensing System.
The license is held at the company level. LMK Media is not a bank or a credit union, and does not make loans or credit decisions. Any participating lender a consumer is connected with through one of our brands is independently responsible for holding the licenses required in the states where it operates, and can be looked up in the same database.
Raising a concern
Complaints reach a person, not a queue. Write to contact@lmkmedia.org or call (916) 708-1754. Include the brand and the phone number or email address involved so we can find the record.
