How we are paid
Two of the three brands above are paid by lenders, and one is not. We would rather
state that here than have someone work it out by reading the fine print on a form.
Home Value Haven and LenderMatch connect a homeowner
with participating lenders, and those lenders compensate the brand for the connection.
That is how both are funded, it is disclosed on each site, and it is the reason both are
free for a consumer to use. FreshRateHub is not funded that way. No
lender pays for placement or referral on it, and it does not connect anyone with a lender
at all.
Being paid by lenders is ordinary and legal, and it is disclosed on the brands where it
applies. What matters is that a consumer knows which kind of site they are on, and that
the authorisation to be contacted about an inquiry is asked for separately and in plain
words rather than folded into something else. That separation is described on the
compliance page.
Why we name them
Operating more than one consumer brand is ordinary, and pretending otherwise is not.
Our mortgage license names every domain we run, which means any reviewer, regulator, or
consumer who looks us up finds all of them in a public database regardless of what this
page says.
So this page says it plainly. Each brand serves a different need, carries its own
terms and privacy policy, and keeps its own records. None of them is a lender. Where a
brand operates a text message program, that program is registered separately under that
brand, with its own consent language and its own records, and the details are on the
compliance page.
